We have a rare opportunity for a talented HSE Regional Co-ordinator to join our EU region, you will gain high international exposure as you will be responsible for 14 Cummins sites across 8 countries. Due to the large scope of the region that will be covered we are flexible on the location of the role
This role requires a large amount of travel across the region with around 50% annually. The top responsibilities of the role include; training employees, working with ISO systems, Health & Safety, and high levels of engagement with stakeholders at all levels, including the Senior Leadership team.
Krav/Essential requirements:
• College, university, or equivalent degree in Engineering or a related field
• Proven track record within a similar HSE role
• Comprehensive knowledge of occupational health & safety.
• Ideally worked within a global organization, or has an understanding of working internationally
• Fluent English - written and verbal (an additional EU language is desirable)
• NEBOSH National Certificate (NGC)
• IMEA or NEBOSH Environmental Certificate
• Multi-site management experience
• Tech IOSH or working towards
• Excellent communication skills - confident with senior level stakeholders
Key responsibilities:
Fundamentals Of Health And Safety -Detailed understanding of general industry standards and the requirements of the more frequently referenced standards.
Risk Management - Health & Safety management principles and system safety engineering techniques. This includes the elements of risk identification and management and an understanding of the function of hazard analysis in system requirements definition, preliminary and detailed design, test, operations, and maintenance activities.
Occupational Health & Safety Management System - providing a framework for managing OHS responsibilities so they become more efficient and more integrated into overall business operations.
Incident Investigation - The method of reporting the occurrence of an occupational injury/illness, near hit, or property damage. Incident investigations determine how and why these failures occur. Employees should be able to perform a thorough, effective incident investigation including root cause analysis, 5-why analysis and development of effective corrective actions.
Engagement - Effectively expresses messages and ideas in a clear, organized and relevant manner for a variety of audiences. Develops organized, complete, and convincing communications. Conveys thoughts and ideas regarding a topic concisely and clearly. Ability to communicate effectively to different levels of the organization.
Influencing - Encourages others to change their mind-set and/or behaviours to achieve positive results. Presents convincing justification for others to accept ideas and plans. Encourages the open expression of opinions and disagreements. Shares responsibility for defining and structuring the work to be done. Effectively gains commitment with others to produce high quality work.
