Summary
We are looking for a curious and courageous HR Manager to take on the cultural- and organizational development of probably one of the best and most efficient engine plants in the world! After many years of developing into a modern, ergonomically and environmentally friendly plant we are ready and happy to take the next step. We would like you to join forces with us!

As a member of the Vara Plant management team you will report directly to the Vice President of the plant and have a direct impact on the strategy for the future development of the plant. Your responsibility covers the whole of the plant and entails all aspects of the HR spectrum given the business context we're in.

You will be part of the Volvo Penta HR community and work closely with the HR Director for Global Operations & Quality and our HR colleagues in the US and China plants.

The function of Global Operations & Quality is proud to be producing and distributing top quality engines to most corners of the world, upholding the Volvo Penta brand and reputation. The Vara plant consists of 220 highly skilled employees who all contribute in this process.

Key responsibilities *Advise, guide, challenge and support line managers with HR related processes such as; leadership sourcing, talent development, succession planning, performance management, competence development and compensation & benefits in order to drive business performance
• Manage union negotiations for the Vara plant
• Drive and develop our Health & Safety processes including work environment and the framework
• Assume responsibility for the implementation of global HR policies
• Analyze and secure quality of HR data to understand trends and resolve problems in order to support the capability of the organizations
• Coordinate and drive Employment Branding concept and activities for Vara plant in the region

Qualifications

• University degree in appropriate academic qualification or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years working with Human Resources and Labour Relations
• Good knowledge and understanding of both operational and strategic HR
• Experience from Blue Collar oriented work environment
• Good knowledge of Swedish Labour law
• Proficient in English and Swedish, verbal and written
