We're on a mission to lead the games industry in innovation, technology, and craftsmanship! Avalanche Studios Group is expanding, and as we continue to scale and strengthen our central publishing organization, we're in search of a senior leader to own our partnerships and commercial strategy.
The position
As the Head of Strategic Partnerships, your primary focus will be to refine our platform strategy and cultivate significant relationships with key platforms, positioning Avalanche Studios as the go-to partner. You will guide the transition from transactional interactions to strategic engagements, working in close partnership with departments such as Marketing and Product to ensure the company's objectives are in sync with partner goals across the product lifecycle. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing platform relations, business development, outsourcing, licensing, and management of our legacy portfolio, all aimed at ensuring that each game achieves its quality and revenue targets. In this position, you'll report to the Chief Publishing Officer.
What you 'll do
Strategic Alignment - align strategies of first party platforms to expand opportunities for deeper collaboration
Partner Relations - you represent the central strategy for MAU growth opportunities contained within the boundaries of territory expansion, licensing, and co-development
Lead and develop a diverse team covering various disciplines across commercial partnerships
Provide strategic direction for all aspects of partnerships to align with our business goals and North Star
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, best practices, and the competitive landscape to propose strategic plans accordingly
Polished, clear, and effective communication internally and externally at all levels
Represent our company and brand to all partners and to the industry at large through meetings, conferences, and speaking engagements
Champion new ways of working, raising the level of commercial excellence for the products within the portfolio
Strategic Partnerships & Territory Expansion - aligning with company and product strategic goals, identify the right partners to achieve extension of our geographical or platform reach
Act as strategic lead for all licensing matters, utilizing external licensing agencies if needed
Partner Communications - you are the conduit of information between all critical partners and internal parties
Operational Excellence - comprehensive strategy requires tactically functional execution skills, and you know how to get things done
Provide regular reports on partnership activities including revenue projections and performance analyses
Own P&L for Partnerships Team, balancing opportunities with cost
Stakeholder management - balance priorities of multiple stakeholders, often with competing needs and deadlines

Who you are
At least extensive experience in gaming, related to business development or account management experience
Understanding of games business models and commercial landscape within games
Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience
Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate compelling recommendations
Comfortable dealing with multiple stakeholders internally and externally and strong negotiator
Extensive network, across the key platforms and other business verticals
Keen eye for detail
Great organizational skills and a self-starter
Fluent in English communication, both written and spoken
Comfortable traveling

The Liverpool location
Our United Kingdom location is in Liverpool, a maritime city with a diverse blend of cultures and a plethora of museums, restaurants, pubs, nightlife, as well as a booming gaming scene. Liverpool's storied history as a port city is ever-present, and within just an hour you'll find wide sandy beaches, Chester Zoo, Martin Mere Nature Reserve, and the Southport Pleasureland amusement park. It's a great city to visit and a perfect place to live.
The Stockholm location
Our Stockholm office is situated in Södermalm, the beating heart of the city's game industry. It's a physical representation of our games - the lush vegetation of Just Cause and theHunter: Call of the Wild meets corroded metal straight out of Mad Max. It has everything you need to make it your creative base camp.
