ZEISS Research Microscopy Solutions is a major supplier of advanced research microscopy systems to the research sector in both academia and industrial accounts. In the Nordics, ZEISS RMS has direct sales representation in all countries and employs a network of Account Managers, Product and Applications Specialists and a strong Field Service team.
ZEISS Research Microscopy Solutions, Nordics is searching for an SSC Head of Sales and Service, in Carl Zeiss AB, Stockholm
The SSC Head of Sales and Service (HoSS) RMS is part of a Matrix organisation and is responsible for achieving or exceeding the expected Sales and Service performance levels of the local business, (Order intake, Sales Revenue and other PI's) as defined across multiple stakeholder groups.

Key responsibilities:
Personnel development:
The SSC HoSS is - together with the SSC manager - responsible for the development of the local sales and service staff.
He/she acts as a coach and mentor.
The SSC HoSS decides on hiring, developing, and transitioning of sale reps together with the SSC manager.
Target setting and evaluation:
The SSC HoSS decides on the incentives of the local sales reps and the service staff in line with local and Group-wide incentive rules together with the SSC Manager.
The Segment Regional Sales Manager (RSM) provides consultation on plan design and assists by sharing best practices and regional perspectives.
Go-to-market and service strategy development and planning:
The SSC HoSS develops an effective tactical go-to-market and service action plan and develops the mid-term planning, the budget and the rolling forecast together with the RSM and the SSC manager.
Business Performance management:
The SSC HoS helps to prepare the quarterly business review calls. The performance is benchmarked against comparable Profit Centres (PC).
NPS (especially for service) and CPO are key indicators for the PC performance.
Implementation of the go-to-market and service strategy:
The operational responsibility for the sales and service operations lies with the SSC HoSS supported by the RSM.
The RSM has a consultative and supervisory role for the respective PC while the role of the SSC HoSS is operational.
The SSC HoSS plays the clear leading role in sales and service operations which must be in line with SBU governance.
Decisions with significant impact on the sales performance of a PC must be approved by the SBU Head of Sales and/or Service together with the SSC Manager.
The SSC HoSS and the RSM work closely together as a team
Job Requirements
Candidate profile:
University degree in a technical, business management or product related field or graduation from a higher institution, or equivalent.
Demonstrable experience of, and prior success* in, a sales and service leadership role for a technology led company is required.
The ability to articulate the concepts behind the "Digital Mindset" and to demonstrate leadership of a successful change management program or business improvement initiative, delivered as a result of applying this approach, is required.
An understanding of the principles of, and practical experience in, the application of Agile Organisational Design would be an advantage.
