The retail segment is one of our largest customer segments. We help retailers to minimize shrinkage in their stores and increase revenue through enhancing their customers shopping experience. Thanks to our intelligent video-, access control- and audio solutions we address many important functions within a retailers business including:

Loss prevention: Combating inventory shrinkage, point-of-sale fraud, shoplifting and theft
Store optimization: Converting more in-store sales opportunities and enhance customer experience by improving store layouts, staff planning, and targeted advertising
Safety & security: Maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and staff
What will you do? As Head of Retail you will be responsible for outlining Axis overall global strategy for the Retail Segment and you are ultimately the business owner of the segment. The role is instrumental for making sure that Axis continue to successfully meet current and future market demands. This includes supporting the transformation of Axis from a product centric company to more of solution and services.

Key areas for this role include:

Develop the overall Axis retail business strategy
Implementation of strategy through the sales regions
Aligning the business strategy with other central functions
Selection of sales channel alliances and partner development
Set and follow up on key performance indicators and financial targets
Organizational development

Your success will to a large extant depend on your collaboration with other key functions. In this role you work closely with the nine Sales regions, Product Management, Solution Marketing and the other Industry Segments. Who are we looking for? We are looking for an experienced and analytical team player with extensive experience from the retail industry.

Axis work with an indirect sales model through distributers and re-sellers, you therefore have a deep understanding for this business model.

Most likely you have a background from a technology company as a supplier to global retail companies.

You should have relevant experience from working in a global business environment as well as an appropriate understanding of transforming a business from product sales to solution and service sales.

In order to thrive in the position we believe you are passionate about business development and communication, proactive and independent in thought and actions and able to influence people. It is highly important that you are a bearer of our company culture and able to communicate complex business issues clearly and strongly to senior management. A strong cultural awareness in order to effectively drive and support implementation in the sales regions is also an important asset. Fluency in written and spoken English is required, other European languages is considered a benefit.
