About Us
Aftermarket Technology (AMT) within Volvo GTT provides Volvo Group with the best possible solutions supporting our aftermarket business. Aftermarket's responsibility entails being close to end customers in order to understand their needs and behaviors. We have a holistic view of the entire truck and bring hands-on truck experience.
Diagnostic Engineering (DE) delivers diagnostic SW based solutions to the aftermarket, providing the workshop technicians the tools and services needed to reduce the downtime for Volvo Group products during maintenance and service operations. This entails using our knowledge of aftermarket systems and their integration to Volvo's business logic and PDM systems when developing solutions for diagnostic engineering deliveries.
Within Diagnostic Engineering and at Quality & Customer Interface, Verification & Validation, QCIVV, we are the voice of our customers all along the diagnostic engineering process. The Gothenburg QCIVV group with 16 highly dedicated engineers is responsible for Release Management, Configuration Management (CM), Quality Assurance (QA) and Verification & Validation (V&V) etc. in projects, maintenance and advanced engineering.
Within QCIVV we are going through a major change in order for Volvo GTT to become the world leading automotive software development company. Therefore we are now in need of a Head of QCIVV who has the drive and passion to lead this major change and who sees that the key to success is to always strive to be the best in the world whatever you do.

Job Mission
As Head of QCIVV you will act as a V&V expert, lead and coordinate all QCIVV activities within DE, deciding on the strategic directions and aligning DE Release, CM, QA and V&V activities with the rest of GTT product development and Group IT. The Head of QCIVV drives improvements of the Release, CM, QA and V&V process including transforming and adapting DE Release, CM, QA and V&V to agile (SAFe) way of working. You will also lead the local QCIVV group and be global functional manager to all QCIVV teams. You will be part of Diagnostics Engineering Management Team and report directly to Director of Diagnostics Engineering.

Your main focus will be to:
• Lead the QCIVV section and manage deliveries in start cost, maintenance and advanced engineering projects but also the overall QCIVV budget
• Drive and secure implementation of SAFe way of working into the Diagnostics solution Release, CM, QA and V&V area as part of LEAN Engineering setup
• Continuously acquire and secure implementation of the state of the art Agile Release, CM, QA and SW testing methodologies and techniques
• Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of the QCIVV activities
• Drive and secure improvements of the Release, CM, QA and V&V process and of the corresponding methods and procedures
• As member of DE Management Group act as strong representative and driver for quality assurance in all DE
• As member of Release Steering Group give input to "Go/No-go" decisions prior to releases

Required Knowledge/Experience
• A Master's degree in Engineering (preferably Physics Engineering or Electrical Engineering) or equivalent professional experience
• 7+ years of experience as Team Leader/Line Manager and Verification Leader combined
• Genuine and documented knowledge of the electronics/SW testing techniques, methodologies and process (Implementation and Verification cycle, so called V-cycle, etc.)
• Good and proven leadership competence
• The traceability is a key word for quality securing of our methods and results so genuine Traceability and Test Management tools knowledge is required
• Good knowledge of test automation methods, simulation tools, virtual verification methods
• Good knowledge of the different automated methods/equipment for monitoring / steering a system under testing and logging the data
• Knowledge in agile SW development way of working
• ISTQB certification is a merit
• International and multi-cultural business experience within global organizations
• Excellent English, other languages considered to be a merit
