Job Purpose

To lead, manage and develop a team of professional sourcing staff, located in country of responsibility to ensure effective performance of Procurement teams in the scope of responsibility.

To ensure input to and alignment with the creation of regional and global sourcing strategies, representing the needs of local stakeholders and local markets dynamics, in partnership with the Global and Regional category teams.

To identify and deliver business benefits aligned to assurance of supply, quality, service, cost and innovation and delivering stakeholders and business partner requirements through execution of category strategies.

To drive operational efficiencies by ensuring Contract & Preferred Supplier list compliance as well as managing the Tail spend.

To deliver effective budgets (Plans of Purchase) agreed with key stakeholders and Finance in accordance with the Spend Management Framework and aligned to the global budgets together with Global and Regional category team.

• Reports to Director level in Procurement organization
• Local/Regional tail spend responsibility
• Operates primarily across Denmark, Norway, Finland and Sweden
• Stakeholder interface in GSK is typically VP level with a high complexity network
• People leadership is a critical element of this role
• Category complexity is medium
• Supply market complexity is medium
• Seniority of supplier interface is high
• GSK business impact of the spend is high

Qualifications and Competencies

Degree level e.g. BA, BSc or equivalent
Demonstrated experience of successfully leading teams within a country
Demonstrated expertise in Procurement processes is required, particularly with respect to developing & implementing significant strategies, stakeholder management and supplier relationship management
Demonstrated experience in influencing strategy and managing across business units and interfacing with regional and global teams
Demonstrated experience in managing significant projects
Excellent skills in English and Swedish both orally and in writing

Strategic, conceptual and entrepreneurial way of thinking
Excellent social & communication skills - able to clearly articulate position with clarity at all levels of a complex organization
Strong leadership skills to effectively manage category processes, and cross functional teams
Proven ability to drive cost reductions projects and change throughout organization
Ability to get buy-in and commitment from internal / external stakeholders
Strong negotiating skills and understanding of contractual key terms
