Join our PLM Systems Engineering & Process Structures team!
As Head of PLM Systems Engineering & Process Structures you will work with a highly motivated and skilled team within the Business & PLM applications department, a part of CEVT IT.
The team plays an important role in building the base of product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions for the engineering work that will be performed to enable future mobility solutions developed by CEVT. You will be part of the knowledgeable and experienced delivery to analyze business needs, translate customer requirements into system, propose solutions enhancing engineering work and solving business problems, as well as being the engineers' source of methodology knowledge and support.
You are expected to lead, support, challenge and develop the individuals and teams and to ensure strategic alignment of our PLM solutions like Teamcenter, System Weaver, and Tecnomatix within the areas of Systems Engineering, E/E & Software Development, Product Configuration and Manufacturing Process Structures. You will also be responsible for our PLM developers, PLM project managers and PLM Engineering Support team.
Collaboration with various stakeholders and highly technically skilled teams within the CEVT design engineering departments, with other CEVT IT departments, as well as with stakeholders at other Geely entities, is of high importance to enable great deliveries. You will have tight collaboration with teams located both in Sweden as well as in China, India and UK, to support the global PLM solutions development, and you need the ability to lead and coordinate both internal and supplier work The team is managing both new solution development and engineering support. You will work closely with the PLM Product Structures & CAD department and be a member of the CEVT IT management team.
Responsibilities and tasks
• Develop and implement CEVTs PLM strategy and roadmap together with key stakeholders at IT and business as well as suppliers.
• Lead and develop the team, as well as budget and workforce planning. The role includes recruitment, salary setting, performance and competence development. Provide coaching and guidance to employees to ensure deliveries and personal development.
• Define, plan and lead PLM solution development within your areas.
• Collaboration with engineering teams to capture and understand their needs, current gaps and required results.
• Keep informed about industry trends and the applicability of new PLM solutions.
• Develop core competence strategy for the areas.
• Drive the internal agile way of working.
• Ability to travel on an occasional basis
Profile and Background
We believe you have a relevant university degree or similar skills through work experience. You have experience in a similar position, with good familiarity of product development processes and an overall automotive engineering understanding. It is an advantage if you have worked with PLM system development. You have great leadership qualities and people skills to be able to guide, inspire, coach, and motivate people and team. As a person, you are open-minded and solution-driven, along with networking skills to build strong long-term relationships. Motivation to take initiative, drive issues, make decisions and lead change. You have good communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate the areas vision, strategy and objectives; and an understanding of how these contribute to CEVT and Geely vision and strategy.
