hela Sverige As the Head of Program Management for our global R&D Onboard team, you will have the overall accountability to plan and govern the Onboard project portfolio. Your tasks can be split into 4 areas:
• Project Management: standardized project management approach
• PMO: KPIs on all Onboard execution projects related to QTC
• Governance: Lead & ensure robust Gate Review process & adherence
• Transformation: Agile development and Agile project management
Key Responsibilities and Challenges
1. Resource & Capability Management:
• Engineering contractors, out-sourcing and footprint management
• Development of Key Capabilities: Project Management, Systems Engineering, Technical Project Management, Scheduling, Controlling
2. Resource Planning & Financial Control:
• Engineering project reporting and controlling, strong financial discipline with budget
• Coordination of Onboard planning activities (Primavera)
• Responsible for the Budget process in regards of standardization and handling of Regional needs, reviews approvals by RCS Management Team and Global Engineering Function
3. Engineering Initiatives and Strategic Actions:
• Drive & align Engineering Strategic Actions (ESA) through implementation of KPIs & visualization (e.g. Agile development)
• Act as an interface to global Onboard engineering functions and regional engineering
• Develop framework for management, governance, reporting and tracking of onboard execution projects
4. Quality & Process:
• Drive & align Onboard Execution project management processes, in line with the BT standards and tailored to onboard execution needs where needed
• Implement Quality Assurance process and governance by collaborating with the Quality Function
5. Offshoring /Footprint Strategy
• Drive the Footprint strategy: ensure that we continue to build up on our best cost sites
• Engineering make-or-buy (Core/Non-core) analyses
- 10+ years of experience in a relevant position (leading product development in a safety-critical industry, e.g. rail/automotive/aerospace/pharmaceutical/defense)
- Proven leadership performance (5+ years in a formal leadership position, preferably in Project Management)
- Experience in an Agile system development environment and Agile project management
- Cross-functional experience in a relevant area (e.g. Bids, Engineering, Financial Controlling)
- International working experience, cultural awareness and leading multinational and distributed teams is very important
- Experience in railway signalling processes and solutions (e.g. ERTMS) is a strong advantage
- Excellent communication skills in English
