What you will be a part of
Surveillance provides efficient solutions for safety and security, for surveillance and decision support, and for threat detection and protection. The portfolio covers airborne, ground-based and naval radar, electronic warfare, combat systems and C4I solutions, and traffic management systems.
Business Unit Airborne Surveillance Systems, within Business Area Surveillance, has the business responsibility for all Airborne radars within Saab, including Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C), Fighter radar and Laser range finder. The scope includes Marketing & Sales, Aftermarket and Commercial responsibility.
We are looking for the next Head of Marketing & Sales for Business Unit Airborne Surveillance Systems. Today the Marketing & Sales organisation consists of approximately 20 employees.

Your role
The work involves several tasks related to Winning Business:

Together with Market Areas promoting the Airborne Surveillance portfolio.
Acting as key partner to the product areas in defining our offering to fit the market.
Leading the core teams in the Winning Business efforts together with the market areas, including early stages of developing business all the way to final negotiations.
Commercial management to secure the quality and profitability of our offers.
Finding the most efficient way to drive the global sales of our products within Saab.

This unit works closely with the product areas and the Market Areas when it comes to winning our business.
As head of this unit, you are responsible for the short and long term order intake for the Business Unit. You will be measured on order intake and gross margin in orders won and other key performance indicators.

Appropriate professional or postgraduate qualification in a business oriented or technical discipline.
Strong business understanding and customer focus.
Desire for innovation, both regarding technology and business models.
Understanding of, and ability to work in, an international environment and matrix organisation.
Proven ability to take decisions to improve profitability.
Skills to combine strategic thinking with operational actions.
Proven ability and interest in leading, developing and challenging the organisation, management teams and employees.
Strong drive, perseverance and ability to generate energy.

Travelling, both nationally and internationally, is a part of the position. A high level of English both orally and in writing is required.
