Today less than 40% of used and unwanted textiles are collected in Europe; therefore, most go directly to waste. Even collected textiles often do not find the best possible "new life". We as Looper Textile Co. want to change that, by collecting and sorting used and unwanted textiles to enable reuse and recycling. We are a standalone joint venture owned 50/50 by H&M Group and by Remondis, the second-largest waste management and recycling company in Europe. We draw on the heritage and perspectives of our parent companies while operating independently, with the aim of building key infrastructure needed to enable circularity for textiles. In our own facilities and through our partner network, we aim to secure positive reuse or recycling possibilities for as many garments as possible.

We are looking for a flexible, trust-worthy and pro-active Head of External Engagement, who represents the company with authenticity and builds meaningful, collaborative relationships around the world with NGOs, policy groups, industry forums, and other key stakeholders.
Job Description
As Head of External Engagement for Looper Textile Co., you will play an essential part in securing meaningful relationships to bring our company vision to life. You will be a key member of the team, working closely with the Managing Directors (CEO and COO) to enact key elements of our strategy via a diverse set of external stakeholders.
In this role, you will serve as the "arms, legs, and heart" of Looper as you move through different forums and stakeholder groups around the globe. You will develop and execute plans to secure new capabilities, to positively impact those in the Looper Textile Co ecoystem, and to contribute to relevant policy dialogues. Through the network you develop, you will help Looper Textile Co to achieve greater results than any one company could achieve on its own.
This role requires extensive travel to a wide variety of countries and settings, ranging from attending conferences to scouting second-hand clothing markets in remote locations. The amount of travel could be up to 50%, e.g. two weeks per month.
Your responsibilities can include, but are not limited to:
Travel to diverse locations around the globe to develop Looper Textile Co's relationships with key stakeholders
Represent the company in different industry groups and policy-making forms
Develop and articulate company positions on matters of importance to our industry and to our company strategy
Share observations from external context with company management and colleagues; collaborate on the implementation of these learnings into practices
Liaise and assess opportunities to collaborate with representatives of Looper Textile Co. shareholder companies
Support the CEO and COO with presentation and communication materials as needed
Qualifications
We seek the following personal profile:
10+ years of relevant experience in outward-facing leadership roles that involve establishing relationships with diverse stakeholders
Experience living and working in at least one country outside of home country
Right to work within the EU
Entrepreneurial attitude of getting-things-done, often without an existing roadmap
Ability to adjust to evolving company and management priorities
Great communication skills that enable success in working across borders and functions
Basic understanding or willingness to learn of international supply chains and challenges in logistics, export / import, and trans-national customer relationship management
Basic understanding of or willingness to learn of EU legislation and regulations regarding textiles, waste management, and circularity
Start-up mentality: low sense of ego, high willingness to be part of a fast-moving team
Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to travel extensively and internationally
