The world of transport is changing. Three on-going technology shifts (automation, connectivity, electrification) will dramatically change the playing field for logistics in general, and commercial vehicles in particular. LOTS is set to spearhead the business transformation triggered by the technology shift in industrial applications within the Scania Group.

In order to stay on top of the change and leverage the connective capability of modern commercial vehicles, LOTS has its own IT- and connectivity platform deployed in its control towers. As Head of Solution Engineering at LOTS, you will be responsible for the continuous development and evolution of these tools that provide us with a competitive edge versus our industry peers.

The position is a member of the LOTS Group management team, reporting directly to the CEO. You will be heading a team consisting of LOTS-employed staff as well as external consultants, and will be expected to nurture and develop partnerships outside of the Scania Group. You will be responsible for deepening our collaboration with the Scania R&D department to ensure a joint roadmap and LOTS' early integration into the Group's autonomous transport system development.

This is a position requiring a combination of strategic thought, team leadership and a willingness to roll up your sleeves. We want you to take both LOTS' digital platform and its development team to the next level.

Your competencies and profile
In order to perform in the position, you will need to be able to combine a thorough understanding of our industry challenge and LOTS' strategic direction with a rigorous skillset around effectively leading development teams. This means that you are a structured, ambitious and positive individual with significant previous success in managing development teams with modern software development principles and paradigms. You will likely have worked with the development of integrated software platforms in your previous career.

You also have experience from a business or commercial context that has honed your "business sense" and ability to quickly grasp strategic priorities. Experience from areas such as IoT, logistic system development, automation, big data management, AI and machine learning is considered a plus.

The LOTS lifestyle
LOTS is a relatively newly established company within the Scania and Volkswagen Group. The company headquarters are located in Stockholm with local offices in Scandinavia, China and Brazil.

The position is based at the LOTS Stockholm office located in close vicinity to the central station. The job will require some travelling. As a person you are innovative, entrepreneurial, customer focus and a visionary leader.
