hela Sverige The EA Studios Technology Group (EAST) is seeking a Head of Development in Stockholm with EA Digital Illusions CE AB. We are looking for a professional with 7-12 years of experience to manage a large, highly technical organization. The role requires managing operations as well as the product direction for the Frostbite team. This role requires solid relationship building skills and the ability to engage, lead, and influence strategically within the business and amongst multiple partner and stakeholder groups.
Outcomes will include successful development and delivery of the Frostbite product roadmap, Frostbite milestones, setting high quality targets and staying within operating and capital budgets, including the group?s resource plan and establishing credible and collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
This role will report into the EA Studios CTO. Preference will be given to candidates with DPD, EP levels of experience.
Responsibilities include:
Leadership
• Drive product vision and execution strategy.
• Establish direction and align multi-faceted Frostbite technical organization around common vision and purpose.
• Partner with EA Studios Strategic Business Units to provide the support they need to continue their release of AAA products to the market
• Develop, maintain and publish group KPI?s that track project quality, delivery, and financial status and risks.
• Work with the operational and technical leadership throughout the EA Studios group to align on implementations that best position the label for success.
• Work with our partners to align our overall technology strategy
Product Services
• Work with the CTO of EA Studios and other team members to establish a clear 3 year roadmap and maintain and communicate that vision to the rest of the label.
• Establish consistent milestone and gate reviews; ensure consistent delivery against the roadmap as well as providing robust mitigation plans against possible risks.
• Own Frostbite team alignment with game team requirements and provide resolution to problem escalation where necessary.
• Own process development and implementation for the Frostbite team. Through direct and dotted-line reports the Head of Development will drive transparent, predictable and value-add processes for quality product service delivery and drive efficiencies and new ways of thinking with the goal of increasing profitability.
• Play a key role in shaping the development processes for the Frostbite team.
Business Management
• Responsible for the Frostbite resource management plan
• Responsible for the budget planning process, working closely with the EA Sports CTO, finance partners and the EAST leadership team. Responsible for executing against an EA Studios approved budget.
• Establish an environment of growth where Frostbite leaders are able to effectively manage through being empowered to drive and run their verticals to success.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
• 7+ years? experience in technical management
• Experience managing 50+ person organization(s)
• Successful track record in leading multi-group, multi-project service organizations
• Significant project and risk management experience
• Proven experience in providing complex project solutions across multiple disciplines that consider process, technology and fixed timeline delivery implications
• Engineering background highly desirable
