At Kambi, we're designing and developing a Sportsbook that is used by millions of users throughout the world and we're on an accelerating growth curve both in number of users, operators and markets served, but also in our pace of innovation.
As our Head of Data Science you will lead, nurture and grow our teams of Data Scientists and Quantitative Analysts. You will be the one that drives the creation and implementation of best practices for statistical data modelling and machine learning. You will work closely with product management, trading, risk, development teams to ensure priorities and road-map are aligned across the organization.
Who are you?
You are a data enthusiast with great people management skills that can lead, mentor and coach a team of data scientists and analysts. You are experienced in communicating with stakeholders on all levels and possess the ability to translate business needs and strategy into requirements for necessary algorithmic solutions. You have a creative and experimental approach to data-mining, and deep knowledge of big-data technologies and various modelling techniques.
You also have:
• Experience of leading a team working on complex data projects
• Advanced knowledge R, Python and SQL
• Knowledge of distributed data/computing tools: Map reduce, Hadoop, Hive and Spark.
• Strong experience in data science and analytics, ideally working within sportsbetting/gaming industry.
• Preferably an advanced degree in quantitative topics (Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics etc.)
