Job Description
Position Title: Head of Data Science
Purpose
As Head of Data Science for NUVU you will drive the strategic roadmap for our data science practice, help us become more data driven in our product development as well as content acquisition. NUVU is a small but growing team, you will oversee growing the team but need to be very hands on from day one.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide analytic consultation in the design of experiments (A|B, multi-variate etc.) that support Nuvu digital initiatives including application design, streaming application feature utilization and in-app and digital marketing efforts.
• Manage and refining implementation of ETL process, choose BI tools and framework used. Lead BI framework implementation projects.
• Facilitate the design, implementation and enhancement of analytic solutions aimed at optimizing consumer engagement within and across all platforms
Qualifications
• Degree in quantitative field of study (statistics, math, engineering, operations research etc.)
• Fluent English and or Swedish language skills
Experience
• 3+ years of relevant BI / Database engineer experience
• Experience from AWS, Redshift, Tableau is a plus
• Strong background in analytic programming (R, SAS, JMP or other experimental design software)
• Experience as a solution architect, since some system design is needed (ETL)
• Passion for emerging technologies and hunger to innovate
• Strong architectural skills and an attention to detail
