We collaborate closely with stakeholders across several Business Areas (BAs), Truck Divisions (TDs), and Group Functions (GFs). While the BAs are responsible for driving the business, the TDs provide research, development, purchasing, manufacturing, and assembly. Within Volvo Group, the GFs own the Group agenda, provide strategic direction, and have global responsibility in group-wide functions such as IT, legal, compliance and security.
With Enterprise IT Security, you will be part of Group Digital & IT (Group Function). A global and diverse team of highly skilled professionals who work with passion, trust each other, and embrace change to stay ahead. Enterprise IT Security works in close collaboration with both Group Security function and security functions within TD's, BAs and GFs. Together we work to build a security posture that is best in class.
Role Description
We are seeking a visionary leader to join our team as the Head of Cyber Defense Innovation. In this strategic role, you will drive pioneering cyber defense innovations, establish a seamless cyber fusion of security processes for enhanced efficiency, and harness internal threat intelligence insights to identify gaps and develop efficient solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead a high-caliber team of cybersecurity experts to conceptualize and implement ground-breaking strategies for cyber defense innovation.
Create a comprehensive cyber fusion that harmonizes security processes, optimizing their efficiency and reinforcing a unified approach.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align security initiatives, foster communication, and streamline workflows for maximum impact.
Leverage internal threat intelligence insights to pinpoint gaps in technologies and processes and develop innovative solutions to address these gaps.
Drive the development and implementation of advanced technologies, tools, and methodologies that redefine our cyber defense capabilities.
Cultivate a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement, empowering the cybersecurity team and the broader organization.
Foster strategic relationships with external partners, industry leaders, and technology vendors to leverage innovative expertise and solutions.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to quantify the success of innovation initiatives, cyber fusion integration, and gap-filling solutions.
Deliver executive-level reports on innovation progress, cyber fusion enhancements, and the efficacy of cyber defense strategies.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's or master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced certifications (CISSP, CISM, etc.) are highly advantageous.
Proven track record of spearheading cyber defense innovation and streamlining security processes for efficiency.
Comprehensive understanding of the cyber threat landscape, attack vectors, defense strategies, and emerging technologies.
Profound grasp of security process interoperability concepts and a demonstrated ability to seamlessly integrate capabilities to drive efficiency and value creation.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving acumen, with a knack for translating insights into actionable plans and measurable results.
Experience cultivating strategic partnerships with external experts, vendors, and industry thought leaders.
Strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying current with the latest trends and advancements.
