Sandvik Materials Technology (SMT) is a world-leading developer and manufacturer of products in advanced stainless steels and special alloys for the most demanding environments, as well as products and systems for industrial heating. We are now looking for a communicative, driven and pedagogical Head of Business Control, for Business Area SMT. Someone who wants to work on an international scale, with the opportunity to take ownership of the business control function. We offer you a position with an overall view of SMT's business and access to all functions of SMT and the management team. The location for the position is Sandviken.
Job Summary
As Head of Business Control for SMT you have a responsibility to add value to the business by being a trustworthy partner, and are accountable for ensuring that our financial operations work efficiently at all times. You work with consolidation and analysis, are responsible for performance management as well as long-term planning and forecasts. Additionally, you coordinate the ERM (enterprise risk management) process. Last but not least, you lead and develop ways of working as well as the people in the business control team.
We are looking for someone with a degree in Finance as well as senior experience from business control and finance. You have previously acted over all functions of a manufacturing industry, with an international scope. Furthermore, you have experience of leadership.
We place great value on your personal qualities, as well as on your strong performance focus and proactive abilities. You are analytical and pedagogical at the same time, making it possible for you to translate numbers and statistics into comprehensible terms and recommendations for decision makers. You also like working with an external focus and have an interest in markets, the business and customers, as well as the ability to analyze the same. Business acumen is in your nature and you find inspiration in a true challenge in a highly complex setting. Additionally, you are performance orientated and take ownership of your functions' delivery and development.
Furthermore, you have good collaboration and leadership skills, acting in accordance with Sandvik Leadership Model. This as you lead the Business Control team, and work in close collaboration with our Product Areas. You naturally become a problem-solving partner with our Product Areas' management and finance teams. This also require excellent communication skills, making it easy for you to build relations and cooperate with people from all over the world.
