Powertrain Engineering Laboratory is a complete test laboratory with test capability for engine, transmission, hybrid, drive line, acoustic and system testing. Within Powertrain Engineering Laboratory we are today focusing on increased effectiveness and future demands in testing.

Job Summary
The group BF63570 Facility operation & storage consists of 14 employees and is now looking for an Hardware Electronics Engineer to the Electrical Service/Calibration Team. Electrical Service/Calibration Team 's responsibility is to ensure that all the electrical functions in our test cells are functional. We also support projects (new test cells, upgrades and modifications) in different phases. We perform electrical predictive and corrective maintenance and calibration in all test cells associated to Volvo GTT Laboratory, Gothenburg.

The work includes working with:
• Electrical machines (power and control system of booth AC and DC drive systems).
• I/O-system (analog and digital) (RTP, Gantner, Beckhoff, etc.)
• Control, regulation and monitoring of process systems
• PLC systems (Beckohoff, Siemens, ABB, Jokab safety etc.)
• Advanced troubleshooting and calibration tools.
• Communication with external measurement systems via CAN, TCP/IP and other bus systems.
• Purchasing and handling spare parts
• Be part of new projects
• Participate in the production of documentation and routines.

Qualifications
This position will require at least secondary education in electrical engineering.
Desirable is at least 5 years of experience from process or manufacturing industry.
Ability to read complex electrical drawings and manuals and to understand the functions based on them.
You should also have skills in using various types of measuring/analyzing instrument and the use of control/setup software.
Fluent in Swedish and English, booth written and spoken.
