hela Sverige The Security and Body Electronics section, 94230, is responsible for design, implementation and verification of software and hardware for functionality in the Central Electronic Module (CEM) and the Vehicle Computational Unit (VCU1). The section is also responsible for functionality and components within Alarm, Remote and Immobilizer systems as well as the electrical system solutions for Exterior Light, Visibility, Sound Signalling and Locking. The section is part of the unit Vehicle Software & Electronics division and consists of around 65 people working in four different groups.
The Body Electronics group, 94231, is responsible for creating the electrical system solutions for Exterior Light, Sound Signalling and Visibility. The group is also responsible for the development of body controllers, gateway modules and exterior light control modules, all vital parts to realize a high-class customer experience.
We are looking for a Hardware Design Engineer to work with electronic hardware development. You will work mainly with components within our responsibility but will also act as support to other departments in need of detailed technical assistance. You will also be involved in quality improvements, benchmark activities, warranty regress activities and advanced engineering projects. There will be opportunities to visit suppliers for reviews and project follow-up.
You will work in an agile scrum team using SAFE framework. The team consists of component project leaders, system designers, test engineers and software responsible engineers.
Main responsibilities
* Develop and document component hardware specifications
* Take part of quality assuring development activities such as FMEA, Design Reviews and test planning
* Take part of quality investigations for field issues
* Review supplier hardware design during sourcing and benchmark activities
* Be the natural go-to person for support regarding hardware design in general
Required qualifications
* B.Sc. grade within Electronics, Engineering Physics, Mechatronics, or a similar level of education
* Documented experience of electronic hardware design
* Fluent communication in English
Meritorious
* Knowledge of electronics production
* Knowledge of System Safety ISO26262 and Autosar
Personal qualifications
* Open-minded with a positive attitude
* Likes problem-solving with a sense of urgency
* Structured with good documentation and communication skills
