At the Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology, at the Sahlgrenska Academy, we conduct research and education covering a wide range of knowledge areas.
The institute comprises five different departments: Clinical Neuroscience, Health and Rehabilitation, Pharmacology, Physiology and Psychiatry and Neurochemistry.
The Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology, invites applications for guest lectures the Health and Rehabilitation Department.
The Sahlgrenska Academy pursues higher education within 18 different education programs. The Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology and the Health and Rehabilitation Department operates four of these programs; occupational therapy, audiology, physiotherapy and speech and language pathology. At the Physiotherapy Unit, higher education is carried out at undergraduate, advanced and postgraduate level. Research is also carried out within projects related to physical activity and exercise in preventing illness as well as treating, habilitating and rehabilitating patients of all ages with injury, illness or disability. The Unit of Physiotherapy hereby announces 5-10 guest lecturers for, when needed, teaching in different subjects, mainly at undergraduate level.
Job assignments
Physiotherapy includes knowledge of and studies of human in motion and the way in which movement, awareness of body and movement, habits and patterns of life affect human health.
The work at the Physical Therapy Unit means education on primarily undergraduate level, but teachers for advanced and postgraduate education may also be required.
We are primarily looking for you who have good clinical experience and great treatment experience as well as educational experience, educational courses, and experience in developing academic courses.
Qualifications
Degree of Physical Therapy and relevant identification, reg. physiotherapist, as well as demonstrated pedagogical skills is a requirement.
Educational, scientific and clinical skills will be valued.
Upon appointment, administrative capacity and ability to cooperate will also be considered.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
Employment
The employment is limited (temporary) on hourly basis for 24 months and you will work when needed. The employment is placed at The Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology. Starting date; as soon as possible or as agreed.
