Summer Geologists Wanted
Dragon Mining Sweden AB is looking for geologists for the summer season, June-August 2012. These summer geologists would work for the exploration department investigating anomalies for precious metals in Västerbotten between Lycksele and Storuman. Responsibilities would include corelogging, documentation and sampling of boulders, mapping and geochemical sampling. Applicants are required to have at least 2 years of education in the geological sciences (or other relevant experience), hold a valid driver's license, be eligible to work in Sweden and have a reasonable understanding of English in speech and writing. A fair amount of trekking may be involved and an average state of physical fitness is also a requirement. Knowledge of MapInfo, Microsoft Office Suite, and a basic understanding of structural geology would be an advantage but is not required.
This is an opportunity to work for an international mining and exploration company, with projects in Sweden, Finland and Australia. In Sweden, Dragon Mining operates the Svartliden gold mine outside of Storuman.
