The purpose of the position is to manage and maintain the datacenter storage and all associated backup solutions.
Reports to
Group Core System Manager
The job (main areas of responsibility)
• Manage and maintain datacenter storage solutions
• Manage and maintain backup solutions to secure corporate data
• Manage and maintain cloud based counterparts to the datacenter solutions
• Forecast capacity requirements and plan for future purchases
• Stay abreast of developing strategies; techniques; environmental changes; threats; and tool to ensure that Nobia retain the required level of technical capabilities
Other work areas
• Must view the definition and management of the storage requirements for Nobia as a whole, where the best of the premise and cloud storage solutions can be combined to deliver a complete solution.
Required mobility/travel days
Infrequent travel required, and when required will not consistently be more than 3 days at a time; however there may be a rare occasion where travel will be required in excess of 3 days.
Your experience (required previous work experience and competence)
• At least 10 years' experience in an IT technical background, with at least 5 years practical experience of managing IT storage environments.
• Hands on experience running HP 3PAR Storage solutions
• Hands on experience with at least one other large scale storage solution
• A clear and practical approach to securing business data
• Experience in delivering remote disaster recovery solution based upon storage replication
• Experience with setup and maintenance of Fiber Channel based Storage Area Networks
• Up-to-date knowledge of current and developing storage technologies including cloud offerings
• Ability to deliver concise but comprehensive documentation for solution
Your formal background (required qualifications and training)
• Preferably an IT; Business; or Science degree, plus relevant recent training in HP 3PAR Storage solution

You should have a great attention to detail and accuracy, and be open and flexible to adapt to changing needs and situation. You need to have a desire to investigate innovative solutions in a pragmatic way.
Required language skills
English (written and spoken).
