hela Sverige The global function Spare Parts Engineering and Information is part of the Aftermarket technology (AMT) in GTT, which is a global organization with the responsibility to provide the dealer network for the truck brands within the Volvo Group with spare parts assortment and information, service and repair methods and information as well as diagnostic tools.
The mission of the Spare Parts Engineering team in Gothenburg is to develop a technical and commercial spare parts assortment for the heavy duty trucks and powertrain. We do this by participation in product development projects where we put the aftermarket requirement in order to secure the different brands needs and requirement. We work in close collaboration with product development, product managers and the logistic operation.
Responsibilities:
The assignment as group manager at Spare Part Engineering entails running the day-to-day operation of planning and follow-up of 14 employees and consultants and needed bought services.
Together, you and your team strive to accomplish the set goals and targets and you always work with the customer in focus.
The most essential ingredients of your job are to lead, coach and develop your co-workers. You must also ensure that your group has the competence needed for its assignment.
You will report to the department manager of Spare Part Engineering & Information in Gothenburg, where you will work together with your colleagues to ensure well balanced strategies and targets for the department as well as your group
You will also work in close collaboration with the Spare Parts Engineering managers of the other SPEI sites, primarily with Lyon where the medium duty responsibility lies.
Qualifications:
University level degree or equal through experience
Managerial experience and proven leadership abilities with experience of working in a global organization
Good communication skills, both verbal and written Swedish and English. Other languages, primarily French, is a merit
Understanding of the Volvo Group aftermarket business and general understanding about the Volvo Group business
Technical understanding
Logistics understanding
Ability to work in a multicultural environment
A proactive, holistic, action, result and creative approach with an attitude to inspire and motivate people
Experience of heavy vehicles and aftermarket services is a merit
Personality
