Group Manager- A&V Management Group

The department Powertrain Test Objects coordinate and control test objects and verification work for all Powertrain programs. We control, order and produce all engines for R&D test fleets from concept phase to VP series. We also control and coordinate all updates, software and hardware, for all R&D active test objects, vehicles and rigs. The Program A&V management group is managing all test objects at Powertrain, with the overall mission to secure that all required verification work is carried out within program timing restrictions. We optimize usage and test object content in dialogue with development & testing groups. We also coordinate and manage the usage between programs, to ensure verification work is done on as few variants as possible. The work is reported in program to PT Unit Program Leader (UPL). Virtual test objects is also an area, which we are now starting to look at. This is a new field, which we are anxious to get into, where you as a manager will be a key player.

As the Group Manger in the Program A&V management group, you will be responsible for how all test objects for Powertrain are managed, with a broad contact network within R&D and cooperation work cross functional R&D units. You will lead 11 skilled engineers who play an important part in our vehicle programs. This team and operations are under continuous development, where you will be the driver for this.

Main responsibilities

* Securing resources to cover all required programs and group deliveries
* Ensure group and individual competence to match job requirement - today and tomorrow
* Lead development of Powertrains analyst and verification process
* Actively seek and start AE work within the area of group responsibility
* Be part of Section Management Group and actively work together with the management team to move our operations efficiently forward

Required qualifications

* University degree or similar competence level achieved through working experience.
* Very good communications skill enabling efficient dialogues on all levels within R&D organisation
* Understanding of R&D processes
* Leadership experience from project or management positions
* Experience from Analysis & verification work is meritorious
* Experience or knowledge from CAE work is meritorious
* Fluent in English, written and spoken

Personal qualities

* Social skills, capable of maintaining a large network of contacts, team player, open-minded
* Structured in your way of working
* Ability to operate in a frequently changing environment - both in terms of technology, strategies and business set-up
* Strong driver and well developed planning and coordination skills
* Ability to keep track of multiple parallel issues as well as keeping time plans
