Our ambition for Volvo Group 2030 is to offer transport solutions that are 100% Safe, 100% Fossil-free and 100% more productive. We are now looking for a Group Manager, focusing on the optimization for creating our Safe & Efficient vehicles that our truck drivers loves to drive.
Who we are!
Driver Assistance is increasing safety and efficiency for our drivers and is a highly prioritized area for Volvo Group.
Drivebility & Productivity is one of the groups within this Technology Area. The responsibility of this group is to create and develop our Vehicle Functions as Engine/Propulsion Start/Stop, Vehicle Speed Control and Limitations, Idle Adjust and Manual acceleration. The group is working with the full chain from documentation, development and verification of the software within a continuous integration environment and with the full lifecycle of the products; from concept to maintenance.
Your future team
Your future team consists of a group of twelve experienced and highly skilled engineers. To us team spirit is about knowledge sharing, thus supporting and helping each other is therefore of high value. We work hard, but always have a positive, cheerful and inclusive atmosphere.
What you will do
• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of engineers dedicated to the area.
• Foster innovation and continuous improvement within the team, encouraging a culture of excellence.
• Define and drive the technical roadmap with your Product Owner and team in the area within the Driver Assistance organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, with R&D, product management, and complete vehicle testing, to ensure seamless integration of collision avoidance features.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements to influence product development strategies.
In order to succeed in this role we think you have the following knowledge and experience:
• MSc Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software, Physics, Mechatronics or similar
• Leadership experience in People, Product or Project
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience in embedded software development
• Innovative mindset and the ability to drive a culture of continuous improvement

Who are you?
We believe that as a Group Manager within this area at Volvo group you are a servant leader and passionate about leadership and technology. Through a curious and open mind you are able to build teams towards high performance. You have worked with the software product within the automotive domain and you are looking for taking an active part in an ongoing transformation.
The team works in an agile development framework and through your servant coaching leadership you put the teams in the center without losing accountability. Simultaneously you are goal oriented and you take your own initiatives and drive certain actions on your own. Through your ability to develop and motivate individuals and teams your leadership will make your team members shine!
