We are now looking for a Group Manager, focusing on the Collision Prevention, Safe & Efficient Driving. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of automotive safety and driving the evolution of our Active Safety systems.
Who we are!
Driver Assistance is increasing safety for our drivers and other road users and is a highly prioritized area for Volvo Group. It is one of the fastest-growing safety application areas due to the desire to reduce vehicular accidents and fatalities. Beyond passive safety systems, active safety systems play a major role in reducing traffic fatalities and the monetary impact of vehicular accidents.
Collision Prevention is one of the groups within this Technology Area. The responsibility of this group is to create and develop our Collision Prevention functionalities and features. The group is End User Function owners for all our Active Safety Functionalities for mitigating Forward/Turning/Rear Collisions. The group is working with the full chain from documentation, development and verification of the software within a continuous integration environment and with the full lifecycle of the products; from concept to maintenance.

What you will do
• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of engineers dedicated to Collision Prevention.
• Foster innovation and continuous improvement within the team, encouraging a culture of excellence.
• Define and drive the technical roadmap with your Product Owner and team for Collision Prevention within the Driver Assistance organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, with R&D, product management, and complete vehicle testing, to ensure seamless integration of collision avoidance features.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements to influence product development strategies.
In order to succeed in this role we think you have the following knowledge and experience:
• MSc Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software, Physics, Mechatronics or similar
• Leadership experience in People, Product or Project
• In-depth knowledge of collision avoidance systems, ADAS, and active safety technologies
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience in embedded software development
• Innovative mindset and the ability to drive a culture of continuous improvement

We believe that as a Group Manager within this area at Volvo group you are a servant leader and passionate about leadership and technology. You have worked with the software product within the automotive domain and you are looking for taking an active part in an ongoing transformation.
