Group Manager Battery, Electric Drive & Transmission Testing

Powertrain Systems Testing is a section within the department Analysis & Verification Environments. Our main purpose is to operate and develop the departments test beds within; Engine and Powertrain Testing, including electrified powertrains. Our responsibility is to provide test beds and test equipment systems with capability and capacity in accordance to the needs of R&D. Operational efficiency, well-defined test environment and measurement accuracy are key focus areas within the section.
To meet the future environmental demand and the currently ongoing change in vehicle propulsion systems we are in an expansive phase, investing in electric propulsive rigs, labs for testing batteries, a turbo gas-stand, and conventional combustion engine rigs. There is also a plan for increased transmission testing to meet the demand for electric propulsion vehicles of tomorrow.

Due to this expansion, we are looking for a Group Manager responsible for Battery, Electric Drive & Transmission Testing, this is a newly formed group. At this position, you will be responsible for our existing rigs for transmission and Noise Vibration & Harsness (NVH) testing, but also for developing the new rigs needed for the rapid increase in electric propulsion vehicles. The latter is largely a new area for the section. In this role, you will have the opportunity to define the need of future test rigs together with our customers and to define roles and responsibilities for efficient usage of the new rigs. Identifying the required competences, recruit and realise efficient operation follows.

Main responsibilities

* Lead the operations of the group
* Inspire and coach team members and ensure that they have the right prerequisites to deliver
* Lead the competence development of the team and each individual
* Take on an ownership of the rigs operated by your team and act to ensure that operational efficiency, technology and methodology development is ensured on both short and long sight
* Follow-up on customer feedback and team performance and use the input for improving attitude, processes and technology
* Work with other teams, sharing interfaces with your team, to build mutual understanding of targets and expectations and implement best practices
* Actively participate in the section management team and contribute to the development and improvement of operational efficiency and quality of deliveries

Competence requirements

* Minimum Master degree in engineering
* At least five years work experience from of testing of electrical propulsion systems (you will be the key competence for this area within the management team)
* Fluent in English
* Driver's license valid in Sweden
* Experience as a leader is meritourius
