The Project Support & Administration Directorate at the European Spallation Source ERIC in Lund, Sweden, invites applications for a Group leader for the Office support group.

Description of directorate/group
The Office support group is part of the Administration Directorate and responsible for supporting ESS offices, workshops and labs with facility-, reception-, back-office services. With this new position the service management function will be added to the scope of the group.

Main responsibilities
As Group leader, you will have a combined role of leading the Office support team as well as being the ESS service manager. Your main responsibilities include being the line manager of a team of today 7 people. As line manager you will lead and develop an experienced team of receptionists, office caretakers and drivers. Included in this role is being responsible for budgeting, planning, resourcing and performance follow-up.

As service manager you are offering a Service Management function focusing on service strategy, design and operation. You are the service coordinator for the service portal service and responsible for the Service Catalogue at ESS, including ensuring that the relevant services are in place together with relevant processes (Incident-, request- and knowledge management). Included is also to develop the service function through monitoring service desk records and analysis reports, taking action to ensure that service levels are implemented and met across the organisation.

Qualifications
You have several years of experience working as a manager including:

• developing team spirit and managing day-to-day work
• experience from implementing and operating a service management function
• experienced user of service management tools, such as Service Now or similar
• ITIL practitioner
• ability to work on a strategical as well as practical level
• budgeting and resource planning

You are service-minded and passionate about delivering quality services to internal and external customers. The role requires a holistic mindset and a solution-oriented approach to manage a variety of activities, projects and tasks. You value the contributions of others and thrive to empower your team. To be successful you have very good interpersonal skills and can easily communicate in both Swedish and English, in writing as well as verbally. You handle both internal and external relations in a professional and collaborative manner.

Duration & Location
The position is permanent with a six months' mandatory initial probationary period. Your work place will be situated in Lund, Sweden.

Start date
The position is to be filled as soon as possible.
