At AstraZeneca we are guided in our work by a strong set of values, and we're resetting expectations of what a bio-pharmaceutical company can be. By truly following the science, we pioneer new methods, new thinking and bring unexpected teams together.

Due to continued development of our late stage pipeline we seek exceptional graduate/post-graduate statisticians to join our world-class Biometrics community. We have a post-graduate opportunity to work across our late stage development statistics activities.

You will spend the first two years at AZ working in a structured graduate programme, which will provide at least 3 different experiential learning opportunities - working on real projects across the function.

In addition you will receive on the job statistical training and be part of a global training programme for Biometrics & Information Science (B&I) graduates. B&I has an active graduate network across all skills and there will be opportunities to join the business wide AZ graduate network.

Capitalising on your successful postgraduate statistics degree, now is an exciting time to take the next step with AstraZeneca, to work on a wide range of global projects, and to apply statistical methods to a variety of problems.

You will be joining a team of supportive, collaborative and likeminded peers

Through developing your expertise, you will have the opportunity to add value in a broad range of Biometrics disciplines, including model-based drug development, real world evidence, health technology assessment, safety science and personalised healthcare.

Our team boasts some of the most respected Statistics, Programming, Information Practice and Advanced Analytics experts in the industry, focussed on outstanding programme design and delivery of the quality information we need to meet our drug project objectives that drives product development.

To join the programme you will hold an MS/MSc (or local equivalent) in Mathematics or Statistics. Relevant PhD would be desirable.

We need great people who share our passion for science and have the drive and determination to meet the unmet needs of patients around the world.

If you're swift to action, confident to lead, willing to collaborate, and curious about what science can do, then you're our kind of person.

We hope you are excited to join AstraZeneca and want to share with you a little more about B&I and some 'day to day' elements of the statistician role...
