Information about Volvo Group International Graduate Programme:
The Volvo Group International Graduate Programme gives you a unique opportunity to gain a holistic view of the Volvo Group and to kick-start your career through international assignments, work in different parts of the organization, networking, and professional and personal development. Upon completion of the programme, you will continue to work in the position you were recruited.

The programme runs for 12 months and includes a combination of common and individual graduate activities and day-to-day work at the home company. It consists of three weeks of common development activities at different locations globally, where the participants meet and network. Common activities in the latest programme took place in Gothenburg, Sweden, Beijing/Shanghai, China and Greensboro, USA.

The programme also includes learning activities in your home organisation and an international assignment.

During the programme you will participate in training sessions covering fundamental Group concepts, such as diversity, personal development, project management, cross cultural communication etc.

Volvo Group International Graduate Programme - Theoretical Optimization Specialist

Position
The Theoretical Optimization team is responsible for all high-level logistic parameters linked to materials management. By optimizing current parameter setups and by developing processes to set parameters we take ownership of the result jointly with the operation. We are a global team spread on different sites in different time zones. We combine our competences to achieve the best possible results.

Main responsibilities
Secure optimized theoretical results for all logistics systems and flows to enable meeting customer's expectations on availability with an efficient cost/inventory result.
Determining inventory consequences for changed customer needs in availability.
Drive for continuous development of customer knowledge and satisfaction.
Drive for a good balance between customer service and cost.
Establish and develop a strong collaboration with stakeholders.
Develop and improve statistical and analytical methods.

Tasks would include:
Stakeholder management
Data collection
Simulation of scenarios
Developing analytical methods
Act as senior MM specialist in projects
Overall requirements:
Master of Science
Valid work-permit for applied country if not citizen
Excellent spoken and written English (Additional languages are given merit)
Maximum of two years previous work-experience after graduation
