Information about Volvo Group International Graduate Programme:
The Volvo Group International Graduate Programme gives you a unique opportunity to gain a holistic view of the Volvo Group and to kick-start your career through international assignments, work in different parts of the organization, networking, and professional and personal development. Upon completion of the programme, you will continue to work in the position you were recruited.
The programme runs for 12 months and includes a combination of common and individual graduate activities and day-to-day work at the home company. It consists of three weeks of common development activities at different locations globally, where the participants meet and network. Common activities in the latest programme took place in Gothenburg, Sweden, Beijing/Shanghai, China and Greensboro, USA.
The programme also includes learning activities in your home organisation and an international assignment.
During the programme you will participate in training sessions covering fundamental Group concepts, such as diversity, personal development, project management, cross cultural communication etc.
Volvo Group International Graduate Programme - Logistic Developer
Position
As a Logistic Developer in Tuve Plant in Gothenburg you will work closely with the logistics management team in optimizing the inbound flow from suppliers to knock-down operation and internal-/external logistics in the CKD (Complete Knock-Down) process.
To understand the challenges and develop the processes you will need to have a holistic view and work in different areas to learn what details influences the value chain.
Your responsibilities will include suggesting, developing, planning and implementing improvements in different areas of the operation.
Tasks would include:
Project management
Change management
Analytical investigations, evaluations of efficiency and development and implementations of improvements supporting the business plan
Work with lean according to VPS (Volvo Production System)
Overall requirements:
Master of Science or Business Administration
Valid work-permit for applied country if not citizen
Excellent spoken and written English (Additional languages are given merit)
Maximum of two years previous work-experience after graduation
Additional:
knowledge and interest in supply chain management and logistics
interest in a career within logistics
Computer skills
Leader potential.
International experience
Education:
1st choice: Master's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or equivalent
2nd choice: MBA with a specialization in logistics, or equivalent
