An exciting opportunity has risen to Lead the Nordics.

To consolidate Gilead Sciences in the Nordics and its positioning in front of all stakeholders, while increasing revenue and profit.
The GM will strategically lead the marketing efforts, set the long-term vision, and establish and manage the field sales organization for the new affiliate. He/she will establish appropriate procedures, systems, metrics, and infrastructures to support marketing operations. He/she will provide strong leadership skills with an ability to set a vision, and to lead and mentor others. Assume full responsibility for Gilead Nordics; maximize the sales and profit growth of the company.
Take responsibility for the profitable development of the Affiliate, maximizing the potential of existing product ranges and ensuring the successful introduction of new products.
Position the company with key stakeholders within the country: health authorities, key opinion leaders, policy makers and payers.
Develop the profile of the company and ensure that the company is respected and viewed as a highly professional player within the industry, within trade associations and at Governmental level.
Prepare and agree realistic but stretch budgets with Regional and European Management. Ensure targets are met.
Ensures high levels of business compliance within the organisation which is consistent with Gilead values and local industry codes of conduct.
Be an impactful member of the regional leadership team and represent the needs of the affiliate at Region and European level.
Provide motivational leadership through personal example and by forming and leading a highly motivated and energetic management team.
Shape the organization by building a strong team.
Foster a leadership culture, which attracts, develops and retains high calibre candidates, helping to build and shape a talent pool that will drive the future successes of the organization.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Pharmaceutical industry experience to include expertise in field sales management, marketing strategy and tactics and commercial policies and practices.
Experience as a GM.
Experience of working in the Nordics is preferable but not essential.
Experience working for a multi-national organization.
Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas: hepatitis, haematology/oncology, infectious disease, and hospital markets preferred.
Experience in product launches as well as managing an existing portfolio
An established background in the pharmaceutical industry, including an understanding of the challenges involved with building a team.
Demonstrated track record of marketing success, as demonstrated by successful product launches and/or sustained commercial growth.
Experience with presentations before executive staff.
Track record of successful budget management with an understanding of revenue forecasting and expense budget planning and tracking. Fluency in English

Must possess strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills and ability to efficiently and productively communicate to a variety of groups and audiences.
Demonstrated excellence in project management and effectively managing multiple projects/priorities.
A leader and motivator that the team willingly wants to follow.
Strong presence with ability to command respect through exercise of sound business judgment and clear decision-making is required.
Proven superior planning skills, routinely anticipates and plans for alternative/unlikely
scenarios.
