HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a product group in Hitachi Energy, which develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. It is also used to connect power systems.
As the 'Global TK Tender and Conceptual Team Lead' you will have the opportunity to functionally manage and lead the Tender and Conceptual Design Team within the HVDC Control and Protection, a diverse multidisciplinary team of over 20 engineers (and growing) with specialties in control, protection, hardware and SCADA. You will be the interface from Control and Protection towards the Bid and Proposals organization, communicating about tender forecast, status and resource situation. The 'Global TK Tender and Conceptual Team Lead' will work close to the Control and Protection Management Team, creating a strategy for Tender and Conceptual Design and providing inputs in relation to pipeline, resources and competences needed.

Responsibilities
You will be able to quickly expand your network within the HVDC industry, acquire knowledge about our customers and also increase your understanding of the business which is essential for further advancement.
Responsible for all activities related to Control and Protection Tenders, Conceptual Design and FEEDs.
Leading the daily operations of the Tender and Conceptual Design Team, including resource planning and task coordination.
Continuous collaboration with the Technical Lead on how to plan for the activities in the Tender and Conceptual Design Team.
Delegation, prioritization and coordination of work packages with the TK Tender Managers.
Participates in Expert Groups, Design Review Meetings, Customer Meetings, Workshops and Negotiations.
Process leader for the TK Tender Process, also being responsible for cost optimization in tenders as well as continuous improvement activities.

Background
Experience leading an engineering team (either as Project Manager, Line Manager or Team Lead)
You are a dynamic and social person with strong leadership skills and aspirations who enjoys a high pace and working with people from various business areas and parts of the world.
Knowledge and experience from system development and system integration, preferably within HVDC Control and Protection technology.
Knowledge and experience from Control and Protection systems, including Substation Protection, SCADA Automation & Telecommunication Systems.
You are structured, flexible, comfortable in a dynamic and changing environment, and excels at time management.
You have a strong sense of quality, is motivated to take on new challenges, and hold great technical academic and professional qualifications.
You have experience working with tenders and bids for industrial systems / control and protection systems.
Knowledge how to use Microsoft's Office suite of software, especially Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Fluent in written and spoken English. Knowledge of Swedish is desirable.
