GLOBAL SYSTEM RESPONSIBLE (GSR) FOR ENGINE BELT TRANSMISSION SYSTEM AT VOLVO GROUP TRUCKS TECHNOLOGY- POWERTRAIN ENGINEERING

Imagine yourself looking at a picture. Do you focus on the details or do you prefer to take a holistic view? Or are you one of those who can't choose between these two approaches? Who rather combine your curiosity, analytical side and your sense of details in finding the best solution in every case? We are looking for a person who knows that the key to business success is curiosity and drive to take on new possibilities and who is able to look at the bigger picture as well as going down in details.

About Us
Our group, Moving Parts, is a department within Base Engine & Materials Technology at Powertrain Engineering based in Gothenburg. We are responsible for developing Heavy Duty Engine platform solutions on systems and components with regards to moving parts (piston system, valve train system, crank system, front end auxiliary drive...) . We want to make a difference by being there for our colleagues and our customers and by providing uptime and reliable products. All over the world. Every day.
The group has 15 highly skilled engineers with different engineering roles within our areas of expertise.
Moving Parts is now seeking a Global System Responsible (GSR) combined with a Global Component Responsible (GCR) role for Front End Auxiliary Drive (FEAD) for Heavy Duty Engines which includes belts, pulleys, complex brackets, tensioners and idlers (belt transmission system).

Job Mission
Your main focus as GSR is to define platform, technology and product roadmaps for the future as well as gather and communicate product requirements as input to product projects. You will also manage and lead the FEAD system network. As GCR you will focus on the components individually and on a more detailed level. You will be working with components with many different materials (cast iron, high pressure die cast and sand casted aluminum, different kinds of rubber etc.), different kind of mechanical characteristics and work together with a variety of suppliers.
