Strong commercial drive and interpersonal skills enable you to gain results, co-operating and building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
About the jobGlobal Purchasing is responsible for purchasing within Operations Division in Alfa Laval and has its own resources in Europe, China, India, US and Mexico. The commodity 5 group Seals, fasteners and transmission is responsible for securing a competitive sourcing of Alfa Laval's needs, representing more than 20% of the total purchasing volume. The area of responsibility for this position lies in the range of 35 MEUR.
Most important for the job is to drive commercial improvements on Quality, DOT and Cost. Part of the job is to represent purchasing in R&D projects. The job also includes creating new opportunities, negotiating and maintaining commercial agreements and long term relationships. Important part of the job is to work with global suppliers, and to be a professional counterpart to the suppliers. You achieve results through active and close co-operation with our factories, distribution centers, R&D organization, the global and local purchasing network and marketing.
What you knowWe expect you to be an engineer with strong commercial drive. You have a university degree and several years of commercial experience from Purchasing, and preferably also from Sales or Marketing. Having skills as Project Leader will be an advantage. You have strong negotiating skills and experience with the ability to continuously balance quality, availability and total costs.
PracticalitiesThe position is based in Tumba. English is the business language and the position requires 30-40 travelling days per year.
