With the goal of deepening our competence, our Product Management department at Product Unit Rotating Indexable Tools are now looking for a Global Product Application Manager for Component Features to join us on our future journey. Together with a global team, customers and partners, we create new value to our customers with our innovative solutions. The location for this position is preferably Sandviken and travel is a natural part of the job.
Your challenge
As Global Product Application Manager for Component Features, you work proactively with key stakeholders to understand future customer needs; securing knowledge within existing areas and identifying possible new application areas. You interact and cooperate with adjoining industry segments to align component feature prioritization. By ensuring that Sandvik Coromant has extensive knowledge and understanding of the application areas where our product offerings and customer solutions are utilized, you support Global Product Managers in developing a structured product strategy.
In this position, you are the owner of the product line component feature list and work together with colleagues in product development projects by adding component feature knowledge. You constantly strive for your area to be world leading in all aspects, while always keeping an eye on technical performance and customer satisfaction. This includes giving input on marketing content, ensuring market presence and establishing product awareness.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with relevant experience and education and a genuine interest in the development of the metal cutting industry. You have a technical understanding of metal cutting and thorough knowledge of the products within the area, including their strengths and weaknesses. Experience from working close to customers and good understanding around customer components and machining strategies is beneficial. As we act on an international stage, you communicate effortlessly in English, both verbally and in writing.
