Department
KA Purchasing organization is responsible for direct and indirect material throughout KA globally. We are a centralized function, supporting our R&D and production organizations, within the Business Areas. Within the Driveline Systems Purchasing Team, we have various roles and the team of Operational Buyers, are responsible for the daily management of the current business, for the 7 DS plants. In order to be more efficient and knowledge orientated, our objective is to structure the Operational Buyer team, in line with the Commodity Buyer function, meaning that you will be responsible for commodities cross DS plants.
Job profile
The role of an Operational Buyer is to manage and monitor all operational supplier issues in line with Group Purchasing policy.
• Actively manage and perform re-sourcing of the supply base
• Negotiate with suppliers
• Monitor financially distressed suppliers and take pro-active actions
• Prevent and manage supplier delivery disruptions, after escalation from logistics
• Be part of cost reduction workshop and drive VA/VE ideas to decision, including NPV calculation.
• Handle Purchasing administration on ERP, (SAP system)
• Prepare/coordinate and actively contribute, to annual purchasing budget and its updates for rolling forecasts
• Report KPI data needed for the monthly reporting
Candidate profile
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience within automotive, preferable purchasing area
• Good negotiation skills, good communication skills and easy to connect with other people
• Team player with a strong drive and a positive attitude
• Well-organized and able to work in a structured way, both independently and in a team
• Committed, self-starting, taking responsibility, high focus and interest to improve the day-to-day work
• Solution and result driven approach, capable to prioritize and flexible in finding solutions
• Self-going, responsibility taking and committed with an interest to improve the day-to-day work
• Fluent in English (oral and written)
• Good computer skills including MS Office, strong in Excel. SAP experience is desirable
The position requires a lot of interaction with the different roles in the Purchasing and BA organization as well as externally.
Some travels are necessary, since the position is Global.
The position is based in Gothenburg, Sweden.
