The company spent 348 MSEK on R&D last year, corresponding to 15% of revenues. Currently Mycronic runs research and development in 7 countries on three continents, including strategic development partners and holds about 450 patents in some 180 patent families. The ambition to continue to grow remains and the company has communicated the objective to reach revenues of 5000 MSEK in 4-7 years' time, from 2,319 MSEK in 2016.
Your challenge - and what you can expect
We are looking for a person with passion for business, advanced technology and international relations that knows what IP means to a business and how it is harvested and used throughout an organization.
As our new Global IP Manager you will have the rare opportunity to set up and execute the IP management on a global scale to ensure the alignment with the current and future global expansion of Mycronic. This also entails developing and driving the organization work in its various areas, including inspiring and educating the many development centers of the Mycronic group. You will have responsibility for all IP management aspects, including:
* Governance
* IP clearance
* Portfolio management
* Patent prosecution, litigation and licensing
* IP due diligence
* Idea harvesting
* Driving strategic initiatives including a wide range of technology areas, products, market segments and regions
* Trademarks
* Relevant components of confidentiality agreements and clauses
Your area of responsibilities will cover all IP related matters within all of the company's business areas, subsidiaries and strategic development partners globally. You will be reporting to the Director of Business Development. Mycronic's head office is located in Täby, right outside Stockholm.
Who you are and what you will need to succeed
You have a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Engineering or a Master of Laws (LL.M.). Having acquired a European Patent Attorney Diploma (EPA) is considered a merit. You have extensive professional experience covering all relevant aspects of IP management, also including a proven track record of developing strategic and commercial perspectives, as well as pro-active idea generation together with colleagues on a global level. We expect that you have the knowledge and experience of working with IP in a global environment. You must be fluent in English, both written and spoken. Swedish and other languages are an advantage.
