The Operators Environment Human Factors department has the overall responsibility to provide knowledge in the area of HMI, Ergonomics and HVAC in the global Volvo CE organization. The team also develops common components used in different Volvo machines in areas of the operator environment.

Position Description
The cab or operator station is an important part of the complete machine and it is of great importance to our customer. Today, many of our cabs are market leading in the area of operator environment and we intend to strengthen this position. You will be the global lead for all aspects of HVAC system area and support product teams, your key responsibilities will be:
• Initiate HVAC Advanced Engineering projects where it's needed, according to Cab development strategies
• Identify need and lead & support new product development projects within HVAC system area
• Drive and support modular HVAC system development across all Volvo CE products
• Drive and support with HVAC competence in quality improvements (Product Maintenance)
• Support with HVAC competence in global Operator Environment departments
• Develop HVAC system processes and methods for product development to support GDP (Global Development Process)
• Propose and support development of new verification and validation methods within the HVAC area
• Be an active leader of the Global Reference Group HVAC
• Keep updated with new technologies and competitors with in the field of expertise
• Participate in national and international seminars

Qualifications and Background
• Experience within HVAC systems
• University degree or equivalent experience
• Excellent skills in communication and sharing knowledge
• Proven networking ability and strong skills in how to use networks in an efficient way
• Solid experience and understanding of how to work in a multi-cultural environment. Having "cross-culture competence"
• High Customer and business focus and the ability to create good relationships
• Good skills in English, both written and spoken
• Basic skills in Catia V5 or similar program
