Overview
We are seeking a , who shall be operationally responsible for energy price hedging transactions and management of emission rights and green certificates.
Global Energy is the SCA Group competence center for all commercial issues related to energy with the task to lead and develop energy purchase and risk management within the SCA Group. Global Energy forms part of Group Treasury.
SCA Hygiene Group purchases about 8 TWh of natural gas and approximately 5 TWh of electricity, amounting to a cost of SEK 4 - 5 billion. SCA centrally manages the price risk related to natural gas and electricity as well as the physical supply agreements. In addition, the management of emission rights and green certificates is also done centrally. The key energy markets for SCA are continental Europe, the United Kingdom, the US and Mexico. In line with the Group's development towards more activity outside Europe and North America further markets will be monitored and managed.
The Global Energy Portfolio Manager reports to the Global Energy Director and the location for this role is Stockholm.



Main accountabilities and responsibilities
On a daily basis analyze the different energy markets as well as the markets for emission rights and certificates
Develop and present energy price risk recommendations for each decision-making energy network within SCA
Execute agreed price hedges, which mainly takes place in the financial markets
Internal reporting
Develop methods and tools for the risk management within the energy and energy-related commodity areas
Assist in negotiation of supply agreements
Analyze counterparty and related risks
Provide ad-hoc assistance to SCA's operational units in energy related matters
Contribute to the development of the Global Energy function

Work experience and qualifications requirements


University degree in related field
At least five years' work experience in global natural gas and electricity markets
Experience and knowledge of the financial energy markets as well as of financial instruments; energy trading experience is strongly preferred.
Very strong analytical skills
Business-oriented with a genuine interest in staying updated on developments in the energy market
Perceptive and has a sound judgement
Organized, accurate and pays attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Fluent in English and, preferably, Swedish, both spoken and written

To be successful in this role you have great communication skills, and have the ability to explain and present knowledge and analytical reasoning in a effectively and pedagogical manner, to people at all levels and in different countries.
You are someone who has the courage to make decisions and have the integrity to stand up for your opinion.
