The Purpose Communication & Employer Branding Team - let's introduce ourselves
You will be part of a newly established team which aims at accelerating Volvo Cars' purpose agenda, internally and externally. Our company purpose is 'For Life. To give people the freedom to move in a personal, sustainable, and safe way,' building on our proud history and dedication to safety and placing the same importance on sustainability. This global team manages areas such as action-orientated purpose campaigns, Employer Branding, sustainability communication, increasing the voice of Volvo Cars in relevant cultural days and events, and nurturing meaningful collaborations with other brands and NGO's.
This is what you'll do
As our Global Employer Brand Lead, you will constantly seek, develop, and execute new ways we can bring our EVP 'Freedom to Be' and the life at Volvo Cars story to millions and help strengthen the Employer Brand by understanding our position amongst the world's most loved brands. You will execute and continuously evolve our global Employer Brand strategy for attracting and engaging the best, diverse talent globally.
To deliver, you will work collaboratively both internally and externally, building strong relationships with stakeholders and agencies to further connect our Employer Brand to recent trends/pop culture/topics/events that reflect who we are and what we stand for. You will work with the wider teams in Communications, People Experience, Marketing, Brand, our regions, and external partners to secure maximum impact and results.
Together with People Experience, you will work with key stakeholders in embedding our EVP across the whole talent journey to further strengthen the employee experience. You will further help increase employee engagement and build the Employer Brand to external audiences through creative and engaging storytelling and the highest standard in digital solutions including a best-in-class global career site. You will handle multiple projects simultaneously, in a fast-moving and constantly changing environment.

• Increase our Employer Brand awareness while breaking the stereotype of being a traditional automotive company
• Build relationships with new audiences by valuing conversation and collaboration, giving people a reason to join, and stay with us
• Future-proof our Employer Brand and connect with the next generation of talent by being social-first storytellers and doers
• Build trust in our Employer Brand by demonstrating authenticity and transparency
What you'll bring
We are looking for a passionate and creative communications or marketing professional with a proven track record in developing and delivering high performing and engaging Employer Branding communication - a performance driven self-starter, motivated by execution and demonstrating great results. You are setting clear industry leading targets to increase our EB rankings in globally recognised foras, and measurably improving perception. You provide clear recommendations on which measures will generate the most benefit, and should be focused on, and actively shape outcomes. You have extensive experience from working with Employer Branding and demonstratable ability to utilise different channels and mobilisation to deliver the desired business outcome and you acknowledge that it is imperative and critical to company resilience and success. But most of all, you share our values and our ambition. Your creativity, warm personality, and eagerness to collaborate and deliver great results will be welcomed by all of us.
Required Skills
• 5-8 years of experience from working with Employer Branding in a global complex environment.
• University degree in Communication, Marketing, HR, Business, or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of how to work with, manage and influence geographically dispersed teams as well as ability to connect and effectively work with, and inspire, people of all levels and functions.
• A strategic, analytical, and creative approach to communication planning, with the ability to manage a range of projects, balancing quality, and speed
• Understanding of current and emerging global issues and challenges and the ability to relate them to business action. Exceptional communication skills and fluent English: verbal, written, visual, interpersonal, and inter-departmental
