hela Sverige PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
As a Global Component Lead Engineer, you will act as a technical leader and specialist for magnetic components. You will have a key role for global standardization and work in close cooperation with cross functional groups such as supply management, quality, aftermarket and engineering functions inside Bombardier Transportation.
As Global Component Lead Engineer, you are responsible for the integration of magnetic component and will work closely with external suppliers to meet our requirements. The role includes development and dimensioning of magnetic components in our projects with focus on cost, re-use, performance and reliability through the lifetime.
In your role:
• cooperate with supplier regarding technology capabilities and sourcing strategy
• develop strategic roadmaps aligned with the global strategy
• key member in the commodity team together with supply and quality;
o working with cost analyses
o improvements
o quality activities
• responsible for the component portfolio in the global network.
• technical know-how for dimensioning including verification and validation
• specify and select components align with our internal and external requirements

We are working continuously with our process development in a local and global environment.
The role includes regular travels in Europe and to Asia.
YOUR EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent knowledge gained for professional experience
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as; component, electrical or system engineer
• Having experience in power electronics; dimensioning magnetic components such as transformers and inductors are a plus
• Good knowledge of system or electrical design work
• Good communication skills, ability to negotiate, team player
• English at a business fluent level is essential for the job
• Swedish at an intermediate level is preferable
