hela Sverige ValueOne is looking for a Global Category Manager with proven track record as Category Manager preferably within the area of electronics, additive manufacturing or chemicals for a longer consultant assignment at a defense company. The assignment can start from Stockholm or Linköping and must be filled as soon as possible.

The role
The role as Global Category Manager means that you will be responsible for purchasing of electronics, additive manufacturing and chemicals. You will be strategically as well as category responsible working closely with the local category managers and other stakeholders within the business areas.
The responsibility also covers leadership of the Category team and spans from defining and managing Category projects to ensuring an efficient collaboration with the supply market. As Global Category Manager you will be negotiating global contracts, develop common ways of working and establishing category strategies.
Remote work is possible part of the time.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
Experience and competence
For this position we are looking for a senior purchaser with several years of experience from working as a strategic purchaser, preferably in a technical driven organization. You have a proven track record as Category manager preferably within area of electronics, additive manufacturing or chemicals. The role furthermore demands experience from project management and change management as well as knowledge of regulatory requirements in global procurement. We expect you to be fluent in English and Swedish in writing and speaking. A background from the defense industry is meritorious.
You are a communicative and structured person with ability to see details as well as the big picture. Furthermore, you are a proven team leader with ability to work independently. The role also requires a high business acumen and we place great value on strong stakeholder management skills.
