The PLM & Digital Infrastructure department is responsible for ensuring value adding common PLM processes & tools, enabling excellent operational performance, traceability and product data to be consumed upstream on different platforms.

About the position
As Global CAD Specialist you will help to ensure the existence of value adding common PLM processes and systems, enabling excellent operational performance and quality. You will help to provide input to PLM/PDM strategic planning based on global Husqvarna Group needs and structure from a CAD perspective.
The role is primarily focusing on Mechanical CAD within R&D but will initially also take lead in deployment of company-wide processes and tools for Electrical and Electronics, as well as analyzing the CAD usage within Manufacturing in order to see if there are any benefits of scale or common tools. The primary task is to deploy company-wide ways of working, methodologies and directives for how Husqvarna Group manage our CAD data through the complete product lifecycle (PLM) in the most efficient way. You will also drive requirement specification for new/upgrade of global CAD systems (MCAD/ECAD) and work to identify, coordinate and monitor CAD related support needs and act as non-operative CAD expert.
Your task will be to transform the activity from mainly being an R&D centric activity into a company-wide spanning business opportunity entailing all aspects of the PLM. This will be done in close cooperation with related functions in Brand & Marketing, Primary Development, Design, Manufacturing, Sales etc. to ensure a full value chain (suppliers to customers) focused CAD data development process.
The role also includes hosting CAD events and to lead related networks.
Your profile
• BSc or MSc in mechanical design or related area of expertise.
• A minimum of 10 years operational work experience in an international environment
• A minimum of 5 years of experience from a similar role gained from Business development, R&D, Quality, Project management, IT or similar transformation activities.
• Experience of working with CAD software (preferable CATIA or SmarTeam).
• Proficiency in English is a must.
• Proficiency in Swedish is a merit.

Ability to collaborate and manage direct and indirect team members in a remote structure is highly important to be successful.
