To further strengthen our Direct Procurement Department, we are searching for a Global Buyer.
Purpose of the Role
As an important member of the Global Procurement organization, you are responsible for the Procurement deliverables in the New Product Development process in collaboration with the cross-functional team. Your role is to ensure right sourcing decisions are made for the product launches.
The Global Buyer in NPD is a key contributor within the category, delivering the best product solutions and cost for new products. You are managing the full procurement NPD process from idea generation to concept assessment and product delivery until launch. Through early involvement with key stakeholders, you ensure that new products are developed in a cost-conscious manner. In close collaboration with the rest of the NPD team, you gather input from suppliers, analyze technical, supply and cost data to provide a sourcing recommendation. You prepare and execute supplier negotiations, conduct benchmarking activities, and manage the total product cost in accordance with Oriflame's processes. To be successful in the role, your communication skills are important as you will establish strong links with the cross-functional team and become a natural speaking partner for Procurement. You have a strong commercial sense and fact-based, solution-oriented approach. You should be open to alternatives and not afraid to question status quo.

What will you do?
• New Product Development: Key contributor within Oriflame's Global NPD process, securing right sourcing solution and cost for new products through close cross-functional collaboration. Early involvement in the product development process ensuring product cost is optimized. Ensure procurement deliverables in NPD are met, from early procurement and sourcing input, to cost estimations and final product costing. Raw material cost input in close cooperation with R&D and RM buyers.
• Cost: Responsible for supplier negotiations and RFQ process for new products within your category. Deliver cost-effective product options for new launches. Deliver and report cost avoidance and margin improvements for new products.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Management of supplier issues such as quality, supply and service related to New Products. Support the Global Commodity Category Manager with supplier performance feedback for supplier business reviews. Drive efficiency improvements, value engineering and standardization initiatives. Secure correct supplier selection in alignment with sourcing strategy.
• Processes and Efficiency: Contribution to improvements and efficiencies within the Procurement Process. Responsible for input to the category tooling and capex budget.
• E-procurement / IFS System: Key User for driving and implementing continuous improvements.

Your background and qualifications
• Bachelor Degree
• +2 years of professional experience in Procurement and/or extended Supply Chain environment
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office with advanced Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint skills / Working knowledge of e-procurement systems such as IFS
• Very good English skills
• Experience from the Cosmetics, Food or FMCG industry is preferred
• Experience in global position(s) or cooperation with global functions would be an advantage
