VikingGenetics is the domestic market leader for cattle breeding in the Nordic countries, co-operatively owned by 30,000 farmers. Our unique combination of breeding for health traits as well as production has led to a position as domestic market leader and with substantial export sales.

We employ 150 people in Denmark, Finland and Sweden with an annual turnover of 30 million euro including 5.6 million euro in export markets worldwide. We are now gearing up our sales efforts and seek to add a highly qualified Global Business Development Manager to our successful team.

Your main tasks:
• Devise, develop and deliver a comprehensive strategic and tactical plan for business development, income generation and awareness raising for VikingGenetics.
• Support development and implementation of VikingGenetics customer-oriented sales process.
• Responsible for sales growth and develop sales pipeline with export managers to support sales goals.
• Together with export managers work with existing major accounts to identify opportunities.
• Identify and understand needs of decision maker to develop value added partner solutions.

You will work together with our sales team consisting of export managers, a marketing team and administrators. You will work closely together with our management team, reporting to Head of Sales.

The main office is located in Assentoft, close to Randers, Denmark. Two national centres are located in Hollola, Finland, and Skara, Sweden. Head of Sales is located in Skara. Your location will be Skara or Assentoft. Overnight travel approximately 35-50% depending on business conditions.

Your qualifications:

We are looking for a person with:
• a degree in business or marketing related field, providing the relevant business, communication, strategic thinking and entrepreneurial skills
• 7-10 years' experience in consultative, solution selling experience or other intangible services
• at least 3 years' experience of developing and implementing partnership development activities
• a demonstrated ability to work well in an inter-cultural environment
• sufficient background or understanding of issues relating to agriculture and/or animal breeding.
• first class communication skills, able to operate professionally and effectively at all levels
• a strong influencer and negotiator, who is self-motivated and manage good working relationships between staff and partners.
