You will be a part of the Geometry Assurance Program Group, within the Volvo Car Manufacturing Engineering (VCME), with main responsibility to implement and geometry assure vehicle programs in Volvo Car production sites according to the decided Perceived Quality targets.
As a Geometry Assurance Engineer you will be situated in Sweden, Torslanda and have the responsibility to drive industrialization and verification of the geometry systems within the area regarding product and process influence as well as decided geometrical final requirements, both esthetical and functional.
Main responsibilities
* Lead, drive, analyse and report geometry deviations to solution within own geometry area
* Coordinate and drive the "Geometry Team" during program launches
* Contribute to the geometry work in early stages within new vehicle programs with lessons learned and experience of product / system / process knowledge from earlier programs
* Responsible for creating measurement point drawings to external suppliers on delivery units / parts to plant
* Responsible for measuring preparation of final demand measurements in own geometry area ahead of first physical build
Required qualifications
* B.Sc. degree or equivalent experience
* Practical experience from geometry work and knowledge about the processes, methods, and tools (i.e. Team Center, RD&T, drawing interpretation) at Manufacturing and R&D is considered meritorious
* English, spoken and written. Swedish is an advantage.
* B driver's license
