Production Automation in the automotive industry has traditionally been the core activity of VDL Steelweld. Throughout the years we have built up a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience in production automation and systems integration in the broadest sense.
We have gained experience with the design and integration of a large number of systems in the field of controls, joining technologies, robotics, transport- and handling systems, clamping fixtures and specialized equipment. Moreover, we have all required engineering, manufacturing and assembly disciplines such as mechanics, electronics, pneumatics / hydraulics, PLC programming and robotics available within our own organisation.
VDL Steelweld generally works directly for automotive manufacturers, with Jaguar Land Rover, Ford, Volvo and BMW as some of its major clientele.
Build leader:
The buildleader is in charge of an assigned area or productionline and manages the complete installation process (from preparations to final acceptance of the end-customer)
Essential requirements:
Flexible and highly motivated with clear and direct communication in the English language.
Good understanding of the customer requirments and expectations and has experience with manufacturing and installation of equipment for the production of body-in-whites.
Teamplayer, used to manage a dedicated team, including the involved sub-suppliers.
Hands-on mentality.
Fluent in English oral (written desired).
Quality minded.
Desirable requirements:
Fluent in German written and oral.
Fluent in Swedish written and oral.
VDL Steelweld can help with accommodation and interview for the temporary contract.
In case of a permanent contract VDL Steelweld will also support the employee with reallocation (cost to be discussed in a later stage).
