We currently have the following job opening;
Function owner/developer Chassi steering system
The Chassi & Safety Electronics unit at CEVT is responsible for the development of steering system, wheel suspension, brakes and Safety Electronics. The Steering System Module Team is responsible for the development of steering gear, steering column, ESCL, floor seal and heatshield.
As a Function owner you are working with development and specification of functions within the Steering Systems module.
You will develop and maintain functional requirements that will be the base for realization of functions for both Steering (EPAS) and Steering column ("wheel-to-wheel" functions).
You will secure and support that the functional requirements are cascaded down to components requirement and understood by connected suppliers.
The roles require to develop, manage and maintain competence to develop steering functions.
Responsibilities and tasks
- Maintain and manage products (function) in production and quality control.
- Secure core functional requirements docs ( e.g FDR )
- Secure x-cross functional requirements and dependcy ( FRx )
- Monitor and report maturity of functions vs projects (Project FIP)
- Develop a long-term strategy for the function, monitor and analyze competitor's development and customer feed-back.
- Initiate and manage predevelopment and monitor the established development for the function itself.
- Reliability, what happens in the case of a malfunction and how often.
- Define and cascade function requirements to affected areas
- Assess how specific systems within the vehicle function - and interaction with other systems/functions - affect the function. To revise the ability in the solutions presented by the PSS's to meet the requirements and targets.
- Actively participate in solving issues raised during the projects.
Profile and Background
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in mechatronic eng., electrical eng. or similar.
- Relevant experience from development of functions and systems within the automotive area
- Ability to work independently and work in cross functional teams
- Experience of project leading
- Experience of requirements via the "V"-cycle
- Ability to drive work towards suppliers
- Fluent in English (Speaking and Writing)
- Driver License Type B
- Positive attitude and interested in finding solutions together with other people/teams
- Have an openness and awareness of Asian, European and foreign cultures
- You have an ability to work independently and take decisions to deliver according to targets and project plans in a changing environment.
