Job description
Chassis Systems & Control is a department within Active Safety and Chassis. The department develops Wheel Suspensions, Brake systems & Pedals, Steering systems and Wheels & Tyres to all Volvo car lines based on business and customer demands.
Brake & Vehicle Dynamics Functions is a group within the Brake System & Control section which is responsible for the complete brake system (mechanics, electronics and functions). Our responsibilities are to develop requirements for customer functions and implement brake and vehicle dynamics functions in the vehicles. Some of these are DSTC (Dynamic Stability Traction Control), ABS (Antilock Braking System) and CTC (Corner Traction Control). We also develop in-house software for specific functions.
Main tasks
Main responsibilities will be development of Simulink implementation models and/or C-code for our brake and vehicle dynamics functions in Volvo Cars' different projects according to the decided SW-process. As a Function Developer you will work with other areas such as electrical active safety functions, steering & testing and AUTOSAR and ISO 26262. You will also be responsible for unit testing of (MIL, SIL, HIL and vehicle).
Who are you?
Qualifications
* Graduated civil engineer or equivalent competence
* 3-5 years experience within the relevant area (vehicle dynamics, power-train, brake, signal processing or equivalent)
* Excellent English skills, both written and spoken
It is an advantage if you have
* Experience of Simulink/Matlab
* Experience of C-programming
* Experience of function development
